Costume doll representing a Bengali man. Unidentified armature and stuffing covered in cotton. White muslin striped shirt with high collar and long sleeves, with couched metal strip and gota (tinsel ribbon) edging, and with glass bead 'buttons'. Pleated and wrapped white muslin dhoti trimmed with gota and metal strip. Black velvet boots trimmed with metal strip. Walking stick in left hand, wrapped with white cotton and metal-wrapped thread. Black cotton hair edged with metal-wrapped thread. Embroidered eyes, eyebrows and mouth. Remains of adhesive on forehead, left ear, and hands implying missing jewellery. Fingers tipped with red cloth.
