Object history | Transferred from the India Museum in 1879. India Museum slip book entry 12663: 'Cotton & Silk fabric / Soosee / Trichinopoly, Madras / 55 / Trowsering Material'. These pieces were cut as swatches for use in John Forbes Watson's The Textile Manufactures of India published by the India Office in 1866. |
