Two decorative ends (pallu) from a double-ended sari for the Parsi market. Ground of silk overdyed purple. Embroidered in surface darning stitch with white, pink and yellow twisted silk thread. Small detailing with sequins. On one end the design consists of two bands: the larger filled with a row six butas filled with flowers; the smaller filled with a row of floral sprays. On the other end there are also two bands: the larger filled with three rows of floral butas, the smaller with floral sprays.
