Object history
Transferred from the India Museum in 1879. India Museum Slip Book entry 5588: 'Turban / Chunderee, Central India / 1867 / Original nos.12 / white muslin, gold ends / Price 16s/9d'. A photo-lithograph and accompanying swatch of the original textile appear in the second series of John Forbes Watson's The Textile Manufactures of India, Vol.1-64, No.10.
