Object history | This pair of trousers was made in Lingga for a Malay Prince. It was presented by Cursetjee Frommurze, Esq. who was a well-known Parsi merchant in Singapore. He entered a business partnership with John Little in 1845 to form Little, Cursetjee & Co., the oldest department store in Singapore. He later married to an English woman, Maryanne in 1862. |
