This is one of a pair of prints entitled Frozen Sky (Night) and Frozen Sky (Day) (museum number E.254-2000) that explore concepts of travel, communication, the passing of time and the sense of place. Ben Langlands and Nikki Bell (who work in partnership) have been using imagery derived from air route maps and destination codes since 1989.
