The textiles are mounted on to cream paper and the book has a silver cover bound with blue braid. In addition to some writing, there is a red logo on the cover.

Textile sample book of 101 samples of synthetic fabric with printed small-scale patterns. The samples are interspersed with photos of women wearing kimono of this fabric. The textiles are mounted on to cream paper and the book has a silver cover bound with blue braid. In addition to some writing, there is a red logo on the cover.

Marks and inscriptions
  • 'Oka no utage' (Written in blue on the centre of the cover.)

  • 'Teijin / Yukosha' (Written on the bottom right of the cover. 'Teijin' (a company name) is written in red ink, 'Yokosha' in blue.)
  • (The book has an introduction which talks about the importance of wearing up-to-date kimono fashion and there is also a label extolling the virtues of the fabric which is light, superior to silk, does not shrink, crease, degrade in light, and is moth proof, easy to look after and must be washed at a low temperature.)
