Sword guard, tsuba, of copper-gold alloy shakudo. Formed of a ring of 32 arrow feathers radiating from the seppadai. Carefully modelled on each face, with a gold mount at each end of the feather. Signed 'Made by Tadatoki of Akasaka in Musashi province'.
