The figure wears a long medieval style blue tabard with train, long sleeves with large cuffs, drop neckline, and high collar. The tabard is decorated with a waved red diagonal pattern edged with gold bands and a stylised fleur de Lys (?) motif. The figure wears an elaborate blue and gold medieval style head-dress.

This Costume design by Anthony Holland is part of an extensive collection of designs donated to the Theatre Museum by the artist in 1996. The design was executed for a production of the Ice Show "Dick Whittington on Ice" at the Empire Pool, Wembley, December 18th, 1975. The show was produced and directed by Gerald Palmer, and choreographed by Reg Park.

Historical significance: An example of late 20th century costume design for an Ice Show by an artist who worked extensively in this specialist area.
