The jacket and trousers are of navy blue wool jersey. Accessorised with a navy cotton cord belt with brass aglets and gilt-metal clip-on earrings with blue cabochons.
The jacket has a round neck , a centre-front opening with 6 flat gilt metal buttons. There are 2 slanting hip pockets and 2 breast pockets each fastened with gilt metal buttons. The sleeves are long and have 2 smaller gilt metal buttons on each. The jacket has shoulder pads and is lined with navy blue silk. The trousers have a welted waistband with centre-front opening, a single button and stay, zip and 5 belt loops. The belt of navy blue cotton cords with gilt metal tubes has 2 brass tags at each end. There is also a tag incised with YSL attached. The clip-on earrings are of gilt metal inset with blue cabuchon. 'YSL' is incised on the reverse.
