Gallery label	(2008) Since the 1960s Jill has regularly worn trouser suits by Yves Saint Laurent. Made in a sturdy cotton twill with patch pockets and top stitching, this ensemble draws on the design of utilitarian workwear, yet is sophisticated and totally up-to-the-minute with its ultra-wide flared trousers. Combining quality, good colouring, and cut with informality, Saint Laurent's pared-down design formed part of the mid-1970s movement against blatant 'status' dressing.
