This acquisition information reflects that found in the Asia Department registers, as part of a 2022 provenance research project. Purchased. Registered File number 31783/191. Note on register: Cushion-cover embroidered with a longevity peach and five flying bats, emblems of happiness, in the central medallion; encircled by a swastika fret diapered ground, overlaid with bats carrying felicitous emblems in their mouths bound with waving fillets. |
