Cosmetic Dish


Cosmetic dish with a normal three compartment type, and has in its upper section a very common motif of a couple with derinking cups; both this and the lower compartments are filled-in with lotus petals. There is a large schematic lotus design on the reverse. Gandhara region, exact provenance unknown, 1st or 2nsd century A.D.
