Headcover of coarse dark red cotton, embroidered with yellow, red, light green and white floss silk, mainly in darning-stitch (phulkari work). The field has a central star and is divided into four sections by a saltire cross. Within the compartments are stylised figures of people, birds and animals, some of them apparently riding on processional cars. There is a star in each corner of the field and the borders are patterned with conventional flower heads.
