Object history | Miss Cust states in her letter of April 19th, 1919 that these letters in cases, were formerly in the possession of her father Dr. Robert Needham Cust, Bengal Civil Service. Given by Miss Maria E.V. Cust, Twyford House, St. Albans, Herts. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Museum records (Asia Department registers and/or Central Inventory) as part of a 2023 provenance research project. R.P. 1919-1775 |
