Crescent-shaped horn (narasiṅga or dhutturī) with an increasing diameter from the ringed tubular mouthpiece to the horn. The horn resembles the seed-capsule of a poppy, and is ornamented with bands of petals, discs and rope-device. At even distances along the body of the trumpet occur moulded rings and towards the extremities at each end, is an eye through the suspending-sling was passed. Near the mouthpiece the metal has been broken and repaired by soldering.
