Cylindrical silver scroll case with decorated knobbed stoppers. The surface is heavily decorated with repousse, chasing and engraving work showing the Birth of the Buddha. The cylinder contains a hand painted scroll with thanks and good wishes to the days and a white silk grosgrain ribbon. The cyclinder is supported by crossed legs screwed into a bevelled stand.

One side is inscribed with a dedication message: "Presented to Major and Mrs. M.S.D. Day From all employers in Burma of the Anglo-Tin Company Limited, April 1940".

Cylindrical silver scroll case with decorated knobbed stoppers. The surface is heavily decorated with repousse, chasing and engraving work showing the Birth of the Buddha. Marks and inscriptions
Sunk into the lowest tier of the stand is a yellow plaque with the manufacturers name: Coombes Co. Ltd., Manufacturing Silversmiths, Rangoon". One side is inscribed with a dedication message: "Presented to Major and Mrs. M.S.D. Day From all employers in Burma of the Anglo- Tin Company Limited, April 1940".

Presented to Major M.S.D. Day by all the employees in Burma of the Anglo-Tin Company Limited , Heinda, Tavoy, Lower on the occasion of his retirement as General Manager in April 1940 IS13-15 1997 and IS 17 1-6 - 1997 were all presented by Dr. and Mrs. Eric Poole, 239 Old Dover Road, Canterbury, CT1 3ES to whom they had been given.

Probably from the same workshop as the three piece tea service (IS 13-15-1997), but it also is not marked with the workshop name or logo.
