Transferred from the India Museum in 1879. India Museum Slip book 3006: 'Woman's Garment / Saree / Nagpore / 1855 / Brown Coloured Gauze Gold borders and deep ends / Been used for exhibition & Soiled'. 1880 register entry: 'Box No. 74a. 6,000 to 6,023. SAREES.'
