Plate, porcelain, with a deep well, sloping rim, and low foot, painted in enamels and gold. In the centre is painted the arms of Michie, Argent a lion rampant gules on a canton a dexter arm in fess holding a cross, crosslet fitched quartering Argent a chevron sable between three yellow buntings displayed all within a bordure chequy of the field and gules quartering Argent a lymphad sails furled in dexter chief a double eagle displayed sable quartering Per fess argent and vert in chief a tree proper and in base a salmon naient argent; crest, A dexter hand couped in fess holding a dagger in pale proper; mottos 'Pro patria et libertate' and 'Contendo'. The crest is repeated on the rim above, round which is also painted a scroll of thistles and two crowns in red, gold, and black.
