Bowl of porcelain, circular, with flat sharply out-turned rim. Painted outside with two phoenixes and blossoming plum trees; inside, two pheasants and a bamboo, in black, green, red, blue and brown; on the upper surface of the rim (which has a brown edge) is a formal pattern of flowers and foliage in red with touches of blue and gold.
