Babu Xavier was born in Kerala in 1960. The artist lives and works amongst fishermen on the beaches of Kerala. His work depicts a dream world of soft colours inhabited by creatures of the imagination, birds, fish, animal and humans in varying combinations.

The painting is executed in soft shades of different colours and gives a dreamlike feel to the images. In this image, the artist has used watercolours and pencil on paper to depict a dream-like landscape. In the watercolour we see a colourful bird-like figure emerge from the bright background.
