Place of origin |
This woman is arranging her hair. She has slipped her top kimono down to her waist so she can move freely. On the ground are combs and a pair of scissors, while under the mirror lies the distinctive blue and white packaging of Sanjokō face powder. Such product placement reveals the close commercial links between printmaking and fashion.
