Rug hooked with colour wools on a canvas base. There are three pieces of canvas joined down the length towards either side. There is a yellow woollen braid applied to the back as a facing. The initials EC and the year 53 have been embroidered in red wool on the back.
The rug has a yellow ground with two large figures (male and female?). They are worked in brown, white, yellow, black, grey and green. There is a white border with an outer cream border.
