Object history | One from a group of forty-nine representations of popular demi-gods and saints, both of Taoist and Buddhist origin. The full series is numbered D.1264 to 1312-1897. Purchased from Maggs Bros., accessioned in 1897. This acquisition information reflects that found in the Asia Department registers, as part of a 2022 provenance research project. |
