This elegant wine glass was blown in one piece, bowl and stem. The design won the Grand Prize at the Brussels World Fair of 1958. The designer, Claus Josef Riedel (1925-2004) was a ninth-generation glassmaker in a business tracing its origins to 1756. Riedel's principle is that form should follow function.
