Mnemonic explores the subject of memory through two parallel narratives: the discovery of Ozti the icemen, a 5,000 mummified corpse, and the search for a long-lost relative in modern Europe.

Physical description
Poster featuring a colour photograph of a naked man, behind and in front of which are diagrammatic versions of larger and smaller skeletal bodies, the three looming out of a black background. Advertising Theatre de Complicite's touring production of Mnemonic at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, 30 June - 3 July 1999. White lettering across the centre of the poster gives the name of the company and the title of the play. The logo of the Cambridge Corn Exchange is in the bottom left corner, with the name and dates of the production, and box office number. The logos of the London Arts Board and the Arts Council of England, and a note that this was a co-production with the Salzburg Festival, are bottom right.

Poster produced to advertise Mnemonic, Cambridge Corn Exchange, 30 June-3 July 1999, a Theatre de Complicite and Salzburg Festival production of the play conceived by Simon McBurney and devised by the company. Directed by Simon McBurney; designed by Michael Levine; lighting by Paul Anderson; sound by Christopher Shutt. The poster features a logo showing that the production was a funded by the Arts Council of Great Britain. The performances at the Cambridge Corn Exchange were part of the company's1999 tour of the production which went to the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield, 24-26 June; Cambridge, Corn Exchange, 30 June-3 July; Newcastle Playhouse, 7-10 July; The Oxford Playhouse, 13-17 July, and the Salzburg Festival, 21-29 August.
