Fragments from 4 different Kamawa-sa (Burmese Buddhist Mss.) 3 of palm leaf and l of stiffened cloth and 2 unrelated wood Kyan (binding boards). All red lacquered and gilded. Konbaung Dynasty (1752-1885). Burmese tamarind seed large script found throughout with figurative and foliate decorative motifs. Before 1864.

Production
On acquisition this was thought to be 1 complete manuscript. Mme Jacqueline Filliozat from the Bibliotheque National, Paris in 1996 identified it as fragments from 4 different Kamawa-sa (Burmese Buddhist Mss.). For the purposes of cataloguing they have been identified as "A", nos. 10 to 14; "B", no. 15; "C", no. 16; "D", nos. 3 to 9.

The 2 unrelated kyan (binding boards) are nos 1 & 2.
