Camphorated Oil B.P. Directions As a Liniment, to be well rubbed into the affected part. When used for rubbing the Chest and Back, the parts should be covered afterwards with flannel. Object history
Bought by Mrs Alice Hetty Brewis for use among her children: Mary Anne (b 1948), Sally (Sarah Jennifer, b 1949), Felicity Jane (the donor, b 1952) & Robert Goodchild (b 1954) (Sally was a "chesty" child, particularly prone to catch cold). The family lived in the Primrose Hill / Highgate areas 1948-1962, & the castor & camphorated oils were bought locally.
