Object history | Executed by Barkentin & Krall of Regent Street and acquired for the Rochester and Southwark Diocesan Deaconess House in 1897. These are probably the candlesticks to which Webb refers in the draft letter cited under M.34-1970, though it is odd that he was so far prepared to accept contemporary traditional taste in church furnishings as to encourage the use of these candlesticks on the altar of the chapel he designed for Mrs Gilmore. |
