Silver-gilt hairpin with filigree head set with garnets, Bavaria (Germany), 1850-1870.
Physical description
Silver-gilt hair pin with decorative head. The head consists of a hollow dome of filigree swirls, open at the back where it is attached to the end of the pin, with a rosette of flat-cut garnets surrounding a cream-coloured cabochon attached to its top.
