Lock and Key

15th century to 16th century (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Iron lock and key, partly restored. The lock works as a sliding bolt, and the complexity of the wards suggests that the key comes from a different lock and was made to fit. The front is decorated with two baluster-shaped columns, between which is a floral scroll in relief. The bow of the key is decorated with pierced work.
