Certificate of Merit
dated 1895 (made)

Certificate of Merit, of landscape proportions, colour-printed, with
gilding. The certicate shows a female figure in classical dress
(probably Fame) with a sunburst behind her and holding a trumpet and
laurel wreaths. The central panel is surrounded with flowering
branches, a beehive, a ringing bell, books and a globe, and reads
"Certificate of Merit Presented to" and is inscribed "Amy Piercy for
Attendance and Conduct. Christmas/ 95".
