Object history | Purchase (£150) 29/06/1976 from Scottish Arts Council. The V&A had a small loan exhibition of Susanna Heron's work in the Jewellery Gallery in 1977. The Prints and Drawings department hold related designs numbered as Circ. 389 to 390-1976 and a poster from 1980 entitled 'Susanna Heron Body Work'. Geoff Rayner (Target Gallery, London) claimed that when Susanna Heron decided to renounce jewellery making in favour of sculpture, she threw all her jewellery out of a New York skyscraper. |
