Dish, silver, decorated in simulation of a folded napkin. Circular with reed and tie edge; in the centre, forming a depression with raised edges, a representation of a folded damask napkin with fringed edges is stamped. The ground is textured and the pattern heightened with a knurling machine. The napkin pattern, one quarter of which is visible, is represented as a series of rosettes with eight points, each with a lozenge rendered in parallel lines, within a border of interlacing figures of eoght with ogee centres and, at the corner, an interlaced design within an oval. The foot ring is formed of a strip of silver approximately one inch in height with a reeded edge.
