Brief description | Silver ring with a filigree bezel set with a cross of red pastes, Cordoba (Spain), 1865-70. |
Physical description | Silver ring set with six red pastes in the form of a cross. The shank is made from a band of twisted wire with a plain wire on either side. The plain wires split to form a lozenge at the front which supports a short tube at right angles to the shank. The bezel consists of a shield of grooved wire, soldered on top of the tube, which has a cross of red pastes in its centre and a granule at each side where it meets the shank. |
