Clear colourless glass sweetmeat dish, a wavy edged bowl on a trumpet stem. Decorated with a foliage pattern, with an orange gold matt lustre on moulded pattern. The pattern is press moulded, metallic salts are sprayed on and it is heated.

Object history | This type of glass has been called Carnival Glass by collectors since c.1960. This pattern is called 'Hearts and Flowers' by modern collectors. the colour 'marigold'. The shape now called a compote in the uSA but described in contemporary catalogues as a comport. |
