In 1985, Kiki McDonough set out to design precious metal jewellery at affordable prices. These earrings were her best-selling design; her clients have included Diana, Princess of Wales, and Sarah, Duchess of York, who owned a pair of similar earrings with black onyx hearts.

Brief description
Pair of gold and rock crystal earrings, designed by Kiki McDonough, England, 1985; Birmingham mark for 750 gold, 1987.
Physical description
Pair of earrings, each consisting of a gold bow set at the centre of the knot with a vertical band of three brilliant-cut diamonds, close set' beneath the bow, and attached to it by two pins, are faceted rock crystal hearts.
