Gilt wood settee covered with decorative Aubusson tapestry. French, 1800-1900, with 18th century tapestry. (RF76/1154)
Physical description
Settee. Giltwood, rectangular back with two arms, three curved legs in front and two behind; the back and seat covered with ambusson tapestry; on the back three children at play, on the seat a stag, a fox and a dog with festoons of drapery.
French, period of Louis XVI, the frames of later date.
