The Rural Chair: A travelling exhibition arranged by the Circulation Department of the Victoria and Albert Museum '25. Windsor Wheel-back armchair. Ash seat and hoop with birch spindles. The hoop patched at arm level. This is the best-known Windsor type, still made today. The very slight indication of the saddle-shape on the seat is characteristic of many later Windsors. Probably 1830-70. Circ.34-1918' This exhibition was organized in 1974.
