Ekco model based on a design by Serge Chermayeff with a mottled brown bakelite moulded cabinet, upright rectangular shape with rounded corners, with long protruding handles on the sides. At the top is a circular loudspeaker aperture covered in yellow fabric, there is a vertical zig-zag plastic motif over this aperture. Below the loudspeaker is a semicircular tuning scale in transparent plastic with black lettering, in the centre of this scale is a large plastic tuning knob. At the base of the receiver are two smaller control knobs in line.
