Wireless radio receiver in a veneered wooden cabinet. There are vertical bands of deep moulding on the front and the top. The top half of the front of the cabinet contains a large loudspeaker aperture, the sides of which are parallel with the sides of the cabinet. The top edge of this aperture is convex and the lower edge concave. Horizontal and vertical wooden bands intersect this aperture and the aperture itself is covered from behind with a brown and gold fabric. Immediately below this aperture, in the centre, is a circular tuning scale window with moulded metal edging. The tuning scale has a twin pointer moving through 180. Wavelengths are printed in dark brown on a cream ground. In the centre of this scale is a diagram of the world surrounded by the words:-
'Ferguson Radio Round the World'. Below this scale are three brown plastic control knobs.
