The Trieste Chair was designed by Italian architects and designers, Aldo Jacober and Pierangelo D'Aniello and manufactured by Alberto Bazzani. Also available in walnut, or lacquered in various colours, it won first prize at the 18th Trieste Fair, 1966, and was included in the 'Chairs' exhibition at the Museé des Arts Decoratifs, Paris 1968.

Physical description | A red stained beech framed chair with a high gloss lacquer, it has a cane seat, which folds flat. The chair is formed of two rectangular section wood frames, the front one angled against the back one, and hinged at the top back, to fold into a flat form with the seat folded up. |

First prize MIA 1966 for a desk. Pierangela D’Aniello: Architect. Born 1939. Trained Milan, Polytechnic. Own office from 1966, Milan. Range of objects designed has included furniture, tablewars, power tools. Work exhibited in international tableware design competition organised by Viners, London 1967; International Furniture Exhibition, Cantu 1967. First prize for the folding chair, Fiera di Trieste, Trieste 1966. First prize, Interational Furniture Exhibition, Cantu 1967. |
