Object history
Designed while Breuer was teaching at the Bauhaus school in Dessau, Germany, this chair may have been manufactured by a small company founded by Breuer and fellow Hungarian Kalman Lengyel. The firm lasted from ca. 1926-1927 until 1929 when it was taken over by Thonet who conitued making the chair until ca. 1931
