Boxwood casket, oblong with sloped lid. Carved in panels with various subjects. Knights, ladies, peasants, grotesque creatures and heraldic shields. It has brass hinges, has a lock and key. Described and figured in the Journal of the Archaeological Institute, vol. XXXIII, p. 199. The brass work is comparatively modern.

Boxwood.

The ends carved with the Arms of Scotland and a wolf rampant. The armour of the knights and the dress of the peaants are typical of the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries.
The brass mounts are of a later date.
