Object history
This collection of toys was acquired by the donor while attending Peking University in 1978 and 1979. The majority of the toys were made in China for its own market.

See additional notes, B.106-1996.
Production
Noguchi's Mechanical Mighty Robot was first sold from the late-1960s. The original toys were all-metal. This version most likely dates from the 1970s owing to the presence of a plastic key and wheels.
