This toy is probabaly meant to be a bird. The colouring resembles that of a parrot. The clockwork mechanism is housed inside the body. When wound up, the toy somersaults using the arms (wings) to lift it off the ground. It was made in China probably for the local market rather than for export.

Physical description
The toy is lithographed tinplate and the mechanism is housed in the body with the key protruding from the left side. It is red, blue, black, white and green. The arms are metal covered with white plastic and the knob of the winding key is red plastic.When wound up the toy somersaults using the arms to lift it off the ground. The closest animal it resembles is a parrot because of the colouring.
