Each glove puppet is of printed cotton with the heads stuffed with straw over a central finger hole of cardboard. Each will have been a printed flat sheet, or a sheet with all four printed on it, to be cut out and sewn together. There is machine stitching and a small amount of hand work.
The heads are sewn on to the bodies at the neck. The bodies, glove areas with arms for fingers, consists of a front and back panel.
The puppets appear to have been washed but they are now faded and slightly grubby.
