Double back winged settee, upholstered and covered with Victorian needlework (now covered by velvet in the style of the period, given by Sir Frank Warner). Walnut framework. The back is composed of two round arches with wings at the sides terminating in scrolled arms. The lower outline of the seat is carved. Supported in front on three low baluster legs joined by curved stretchers. The covering is embroidered on canvas with scrolls in wools of various colours.

Physical description
Double back winged settee, upholstered and covered with Victorian needlework (now covered by velvet in the style of the period, given by Sir Frank Warner). Walnut framework. The back is composed of two round arches with wings at the sides terminating in scrolled arms. The lower outline of the seat is carved. Object history
In a letter to Sir Frank Warner, dated 9th October, 1922 it is stated:-

'In catalogues of the furniture in the Museum which we have in preparation we shall of course refer (in the volume relating to this period) to the fact that you were so good as to present the velvet with which this furniture is covered'.
