Carved in the middle with a crowned shield bearing three fleur de lys, the royal arms of France; on either side are four painted arches, each occupied by a large crowned fleur de lys amid Gothic tracery. There is an iron lock with a large plate decorated round the edge with leaf ornament.

Accounts record that various joiners from the town produced wooden chests and other furniture for the chateau d'Amboise 1493-96. |
