Box, oval. The base and top of deal, the sides bent round and joined with metal staples of narrow three ply. The angles between the bottom and sides are taped over, the lid which has shallow sides also has tape on the top where there is a join. The base is painted. with an irregular splatter of calligraphic motifs in black, white and blue on a purple ground. The sides are similarly decorated with a band of brown below the top. The inside of the bottom is unpainted. The top is painted yellow inside, with a green omega in a square on the underside of the lid. The slides are decorated with irregular black squiggles on a yellow ground. The top has a border similarly decorated, containing an oval in which is painted a red goldfish on a black ground, surrounded by 9 leaf-like forms.
